My personal philosophy of language education.
Since I was little, I was always curious about the English language, eventually I grew up and it wasn't until high school that I had the opportunity to study about it.
From a very young age I have felt the desire to be able to help others, from a perspective in which by being helpful, I can help people even a little in any difficulty they have. As a future teacher, I feel the great desire to help my students to be a facilitator of learning a second language, since as Freire mentioned "...Whoever teaches learns in the act of teaching, and whoever learns teaches in the act of learning." I consider it very important to feel a great passion for this profession, since it is a constant task in which we must work on our empathy and assertiveness, in addition to being attentive to the needs that each student may have.
I like to know about language and linguistics because in this way, I can understand and analyze different types of contexts in which we find ourselves in our daily lives since linguistics studies the cognitive processes that intervene when we use language. For example; some grammatical errors, diction problems etc, but in the end, what is important is to recognize that, in language, it is always important to place the knowledge we possess. Because from my point of view, knowing all these things is a privilege.
It fills me with happiness to know that teaching is the only profession that can train other professions. I know that I can be a great tool to train and guide other human beings in their learning process.
